Congratulations Edie. I have self-published 3 books without any know-how. It was a learning experience requiring patience to overcome the bumps. I am now working on my fourth. If you need any help or references (I am not an expert) please fill free to message me.
The Jim Croce story really lands perfectly here. Taking something digital and making it tangible changes the whole relationship with it, kinda like how printing old photos suddenly makes memories feel real again instead of just data. Self-publishing can be a grind but having worked on a similar project I found the hardest part was picking which version to finalize, so good luck narrowing down between the original and serialized versions.
Thank you for weighing in and for sharing your experience! I can see exactly what you mean by the hardest part. Making a hybrid will require some guidelines for the process of uniting perspectives that, at this point, span a decade.
