This piece makes me think of folks in my boat - grown, eldest daughters, who just so happen to be living across the country from our mother's. 😅 my mom no longer needs to clean my dishes or prepare my lunch....it's hard to not lapse by default into the "buy her a Hallmark card, write a sweet note, and mail it!" I did tack on some of her favorite granola...Hopefully that helped..!
I totally get that! I did way more for mother’s day when I moved away and as my mom aged. It became a great excuse to connect and for sure I sent plenty of hallmark cards. Granola always says I love you!
